Why Do We Fear?

First of all I wanted to say Happy New Year! Yes we’re in February lol!

Hello my lovelies and welcome back!

Today I wanted to talk about Fear. With everything going on around the world, we are scared on what will happen next.

I am definitely one of them! I’ve been wondering when am I going to get my ‘normal’ life back? When will I be able to just have group outings and mixing with family. Although keeping apart is keeping us safe, we shouldn’t feel guilty in feeling down because we want things to get back to normal.

We fear that we are losing so much time being cooped at home and not being able to do anything. When people fear, it is often in relation to failing at something they have tried to do previously. We just need to remember what fear really means which is ‘False Evidence Appearing Real’.

I was watching a sermon today and the Pastor was talking about life is about running a marathon. A marathon is a long distance race which involves several individuals competing against each other. Although some will be slower than others, eventually all participants involved in the race will reach the finishing line. During the race some may become injured and have to recoup and start again, and that’s okay! They will reach the finishing line eventually, however it may be later than anticipated.

Turning 28 is a year for GREATNESS for me. (Will expand this in a separate blog). I have always feared everything I’ve done from learning to drive and being a driver to going to nursing school and becoming a paediatric nurse during a pandemic! Fun times lol. However I refuse to let fear dictate my life, you should do the same. Let’s NOT fear together!!

ALWAYS ALWAYS remember… Imperfection is the BEAUTY of perfection.

Why fear? If you fail so what? Try again? And keep trying until you no longer fail but succeed.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

With Love,

Divine-Amy 🖤
